Week One Fun

We are getting settled into family life at home. Everett is eating well and sleeping part of the night. He got his first bath at home on Friday and screamed the whole time. Hopefully he'll learn to like it!
All tuckered out.

Our neighbors decorated our house to welcome us home!

Bringing Everett Home

On August 18th we brought Everett home from the hospital. We were so fortunate to have amazing nurses and doctors at San Ramon Regional. We have enjoyed spending lots of family time together at home.

All strapped in!

Welcome Everett Allen!

Everett Jason Allen was born Monday August 16th at 12:07am. He weighs 8 lbs and 3 oz and is 20 inches. Mom and Dad are doing well and are over joyed to add Everett to their family!

Everett opened his eyes momentarily on his first day. They are a dark blue color.

Taking a nap. We love his side burns!

Preparations in full swing!

The nursery is almost finished. We ordered some space ship wall decals along with the name decal to go over the crib.
Barbara's co-workers threw her a Baby Shower and gave her a Target gift card. She used part of that money to buy a swing that will help in rocking Baby Allen. It is all assembled and for now a teddy bear is enjoying a relaxing nap until the real baby arrives.

Barbara can't wait to use her new jogging stroller with Baby Allen.

He's a natural

We attended an Infant Care Class and learned the techniques of swaddling. Here you can see that Jason has mastered the technique!

3D Baby Photo

At 28 weeks of pregnancy we had a 3D ultrasound done to see what Baby Allen looks like. He has Barbara's cheeks, Grampa Jim's nose, and Jason's long legs. We can't wait to meet the little guy!

Expanding Belly

Every few weeks Barbara has a photo taken of her profile in the same outfit. Here you can see the progression up to 27 weeks.
